According to the police, the Colombian pilot only stayed on Curaçao for a week. On May 21, he arrived at Hato on a commercial flight. On May 27 he left for Bonaire. According to authorities in Bonaire, that same day he flew on to Barranquilla. He has not been reported missing on either Curaçao or Bonaire.
