Traffic & Transport will open in an adapted form on Wednesday 13 May

WILLEMSTAD - The Directorate of Traffic & Transport (VV) announces that it will open its doors to the public on May 13, but in an adapted form. The public is requested to take into account the adjustments made at the workplaces according to the rules regarding COVID-19.

The way in which customers can make use of the services offered by VV, such as registration/transfer of vehicles, application for permits for paid public transport, exceptions for dark tinted windows, and more, is also being changed during these days. The various applications will soon be possible digitally. More about this will be announced in the coming days.

A telephone number is also available for requests regarding public transport. The new phone numbers for requests are +5999 839-2143 and +5999 839-2147. The client is only permitted to be physically present when a permit needs to be picked up. The client needs to make an appointment for this. VV can be reached by telephone between 8am and 11am and between 2pm and 4pm.

Regarding vehicle inspection, VV announces that an exception will be made for those whose inspection card expired between March 29 and May 29, 2020. These persons do not have to pay the 30 guilders fine, but only the normal amount required for inspection. As of Wednesday, May 13, the times for inspecting cars are between 6:30am and 12:30pm and between 2:30pm and 4:00pm.

All visits to VV are by appointment. The organization emphasizes that the customers must strictly adhere to the times. If the client is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be canceled. To make an appointment for inspection, an email can be sent to sita@gobiernu.cw. As of May 13, 2020 you can also call Bentana di Informashon again on 0800-1515 or via the number 839-2073.
