WILLEMSTAD, AMSTERDAM - The Netherlands helps Curaçao to realize the test and recovery certificate in the Digital Covid-19 Certificate (DCC). This has been reported by the Dutch Minister Hugo de Jonge of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) to the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament.
In the letter, de Jonge writes about the situation of the EU DCC that has been made available to Curaçao free of charge by the Netherlands. The Curaçao Health App is linked to the DCC. Since last month it was possible for the residents of the island to register for the digital app and the QR code. This can be used to travel to the Netherlands or other European countries. The QR code also serves as a ticket for events with more than a hundred visitors.
The island's adapted DCC meets European requirements. “Preparations are being made to issue test and recovery certificates that meet the European requirements,” said de Jonge. According to the Dutch minister, it will then be possible to add the test and recovery certificate via the app. For people who have not yet been fully vaccinated, it is then still possible to go to events where more than a hundred visitors are present.
