WILLEMSTAD - During the current crisis as a consequence of the COVID-19 virus, Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) and its subsidiaries Kompania di Tou Kòrsou (KTK) and Curaçao Pilots Organization (CPO) were audited by Lloyd’s Register. This audit is based on the latest quality norms (ISO 9001) and environmental norms (ISO 14001).

To make it possible for the audit to take place during the COVID-19 crisis, audiovisual media was used so the international auditors could perform their duties while at the same time protecting the employees. Aside from the standard topics, this time attention was also paid to the part of management’s policy that guarantees continuation of vessel traffic and also the protection of the employees, taking the present crisis into account. Thanks to the efforts and contribution of our employees, all three companies were once again able to pass the audit with success.
