Several state-owned companies without annual reports

WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Curtley Obispo noted that in the Financial Management Reporting (FMR) and the table 'Participations in Private Legal Entities' there are still government companies that are behind in publishing their annual reports and accounts (up to and including 2018).

It is therefore not known to the government what value and liquidity and solvency position these various state-owned companies have. According to Obispo, this concerns the following companies: Buskabaai nv (missing figures: 2016, 2017 and 2018), Refineria di Kòrsou (RdK) (2017 and 2018), Curaçaose Dok Maatschappij Holding (CDM) (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018), Curaçao Industrial & International Development Co (2018), Autobus Bedrijf Curaçao (2018) and Cpost International (2018).

The Member of Parliament wants to know from the Minister of Finance, Kenneth Gijsbertha (MAN), what steps he has taken to still receive the annual figures from these government companies and what deadline he has set for them. He also wants to know what the statutory deadline is for public companies to submit their 2019 financial statements. According to the MP, that is before May 31, 2020.

He wants to know what measures the minister is taking to receive these annual accounts as soon as possible.
