Second edition "World Cleanup Day Curaçao" Saturday 21 September

WILLEMSTAD - This Saturday, September 21, Curaçao will again participate in the worldwide World Cleanup Day promotion. The goal is to clean up as much waste as possible worldwide and to draw attention to the pollution problem, locally and internationally.

Meanwhile, more than 3,300 people in Curaçao have signed up to be part of the island's largest clean-up campaign and they will roll up their sleeves that morning to make 109 neighborhoods and 9 dive sites cleaner and more beautiful.

The largest partners that make the cleaning campaign possible again this year are the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and its Minister Hensley Koeiman and the Ministry of Environment and Nature and her Minister Mrs. Suzanne Camelia-Römer. The organization, World Cleanup Day Curaçao, is also grateful for the close collaboration with Selikor N.V. and its director Mr. Kook.

The organization is strongly committed against illegal dumping and litter and calls on everyone to be more aware of nature and the island.
