WILLEMSTAD – Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia has stepped down as leader of the Partido Nashonal di Pueblo (PNP), the party announced this week.
On September 10, Larmonie-Cecilia formally submitted a letter to the party board in which she announced her resignation. She stated that she made the decision “out of respect and in a responsible manner” after serving as party leader for the past seven years.
Her decision brings an end to her tenure as political leader of the PNP and opens the way for the party to choose a successor.
