WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath has submitted a request to participate in the Green Deal.
He spoke with Frans Timmermans, who is Vice-President of the European Commission and portfolio holder Climate. Rhuggenaath asked Timmerman whether the OCTs, the Overseas Countries and Territories may join the Green Deal.
The Green Deal is an agreement that helps to implement sustainable plans. The prime minister would like to invest the 16.9 million euros from the European Development Fund that go with this in infrastructure, the installation of solar panels and water purification installations with which, for example, plants can be watered.
