If Curacao becomes a hub for aid to Venezuela, in which the Americans play a role, sanctions of Venezuelan President Maduro, such as the stopping of refinery, where the Venezuelan PdVsa holds sway, may follow. The Curacao government has already guaranteed that the hub may not even have the appearance of a political or military operation.

Several trade unions have been in discussion for days. In the course of today it must become clear whether other unions join the strike. The question then is whether the members respond to the strike call.
