Protest against Bon Bini agreement as 'attempt to recolonization'

WILLEMSTAD - Last night a protest meeting took place in the community center in St. Maria. The meeting was organized by the party Movementu Kousa Promé and is directed against the cooperation agreement that Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath and his Dutch college Mark Rutte signed last week at the Bon Bini for Business event as "Growth Planning Curaçao".

According to speakers such as Max Elstak, former Prime Minister Dr. Bernhard Whiteman of Pueblo Soberano and Rene Rosalia of Movementu Kousa Promé, the help from the Netherlands is "a way for the Netherlands to recolonize Curacao.

Rutte and Rhuggenaath stressed last week that the covenant aims to ensure economic growth, better financial management and a better government organization on Curaçao.
