WILLEMSTAD – On April 3, 2025, Prime Minister Mr. Gilmar Pisas received representatives from Global Oil in connection with the current situation between the United States and Venezuela. 

Present on behalf of Global Oil were Mr. Harry Sargeant, Mr. Matt Addington, and Mr. Shawn Potts. 
Representing 2 BAYS was Mr. Patrick Newton. 

Based on the current situation between the United States and Venezuela, the representatives of Global Oil opted to travel to Curaçao to provide Prime Minister Mr. Pisas with additional and valuable information regarding the opportunities for Global Oil to continue operations in Curaçao. 

They also elaborated on the necessary licenses, innovations that have already taken place at the refinery, upcoming investments to be realized, and possible alternatives for all ongoing processes, negotiations, and decisions taken so far.
