WILLEMSTAD - The corona measures have been extended by 2 weeks. Until May 11, the license plate of the day (plachi di dia) and the 'toke de keda', the curfew that applies 24/7, means that you can only go on the street for a valid reason, remain in force.
It was expected that Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath would be part of the daily press conference in the morning, but he was not present. This caused quite the concern because two weeks ago he indicated that on April 27 he would announce if the measures would continue or what the next steps would be.
The prime minister started his announcement last night by saying that it came to his attention that there are uncertainties about the measures. He also said that during these two weeks they will evaluate the measures and see which ones can be eased. But in the meantime, stay home.
