Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas Meets with Curoil Management Team and Supervisory Board

WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas today welcomed the management team and the Supervisory Board of Curoil N.V. for an introductory meeting and discussion on the company’s strategic direction.

Curoil N.V. is a state-owned enterprise that plays a strategic role as the national distributor of fuels in Curaçao, responsible for the import, storage, distribution, and sale of fuels both locally and internationally.

During the meeting, the management team presented an overview of Curoil’s strategic course, which focuses on further growth of its national and regional operations. As an energy company, Curoil is actively engaged in the energy transition toward cleaner forms of energy production and consumption. The company is currently working on several major projects, including the “Go Clean & Green” initiative, the Helios Project for the development of an independent fuel terminal on the Isla refinery site, and the BOPEC Project on Bonaire. These projects offer opportunities for both business growth and the strengthening of Curoil’s position in the region.

Both the management team and the Supervisory Board emphasized their commitment to further professionalizing the organization. Prime Minister Pisas expressed his appreciation for Curoil’s transparent and forward-looking approach, stating:

“The direction Curoil has chosen—with its focus on sustainability, efficiency, and strengthening regional operations—aligns with our national vision for a strong and clean energy supply.”

It was agreed that the parties will continue to work closely together to further strengthen the relationship between the government and Curoil, with the shared goal of ensuring a stable, affordable, and sustainable energy supply for future generations.
