Prime Minister excited about new hospital

WILLEMSTAD - With the opening of the new hospital on November 15, a new era for health care is starting in Curaçao. These were the words of Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath after a tour of the new hospital Curaçao Medical Center (CMC).

The CMC is now being finalized for the large relocation and opening next Friday. After the tour, the prime minister proudly stated that everything was ready for the transition.

According to Rhuggenaath, this "once in a lifetime" project that the Rhuggenaath cabinet was allowed to supervise on behalf of the people of Curaçao is a task that has been taken very seriously."

“It has not all gone smoothly, but I can honestly say that I am proud of what I see. I have spoken to the people and seen it with my own eyes and we are almost ready for the transition."

After the tour of the new hospital, the prime minister thanked Hans Kedzierski, director of the CMC; Ingemar Merkies, medical director of the CMC; Gilbert Martina of Transition and Exploitation HNO; and Dito Garmers from Vastgoed en Beheer HNO for the extensive explanation and tour and wished them the best for the future.

“A new era has arrived in health care on Curaçao with this new hospital. We can all be proud of it," said the Prime Minister.
