WILLEMSTAD – The government of Curaçao has taken note of an article circulating in the media about Curaçao being part of an international humanitarian effort towards Venezuela today. The government wants to inform the community that Curaçao nor the Kingdom are aware of no humanitarian assistance to Venezuela through the Curaçao territory.

The government has indicated recently that it is willing to function as a hub for humanitarian assistance for the people of Venezuela as a neighboring country, but the Kingdom nor Curaçao are part of the announced action so today.

As was indicated before, the government will continue to monitor the situation in Venezuela and will inform the community through the official communication channels.
