Pisas in emergency meeting with crisis team

WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas has an emergency meeting with the crisis team this morning. As a result, the parliamentary debate on the topic of decolonization will not take place. This is reported by the parliament clerk.

Today, parliament was due to meet at 9 a.m. to discuss the decolonization process. The meeting was requested by parliamentarians Rennox Calmes (Trabou pa Kòrsou), Michelangelo 'Lo' Martines (KEM) and Gilbert Doran (MFK).

 

Curaçao currently has 11,825 active corona cases. The highest number ever. 47 corona patients are in the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC), thirteen of which are in the intensive care unit. Up to and including yesterday, 206 people have died from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. Stricter measures will most likely be taken to curb the number of infections. One of the possible measures is bringing the curfew forward.
