THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Today nothing was decided during the Kingdom Council of Ministers about a third tranche of emergency aid. This is evident from a letter from Knops to the chairman of the second chamber of the Dutch parliament today.
The conditions for the second tranche have been discussed. This includes the 25% cut on politicians' salaries and 12.5% on the employment conditions package of employees in the (semi) public sector. This has been implemented but not yet legally established.
Curaçao has until September 1 to do that. The Committee for Financial Supervision (Cft) will report on this on 7 September, but in the meantime, according to Knops, talks about the third tranche can continue.
