WILLEMSTAD - The new sédula (I.D. card) has several practical advantages. This is according to the Minister for Administrative Planning and Services (BPD) Ornelio Martina during a presentation at the Civil Registry (Kranshi).

For example, the new sédula will serve as an official travel document for travels between Curaçao and the other Caribbean countries in the Kingdom. The new sédula will have some properties similar to those of the Dutch passport.
