Navy’s highest chief visits the Caribbean

WILLEMSTAD - The Commander of the Naval Forces (C-ZSK), Vice Admiral Rob Kramer, visits the Commander of the Naval Force in the Caribbean and his units. C-ZSK is the highest-ranking officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy that controls all Dutch Navy units.

The visit began last Monday at the Pointe Blanche naval support point in Sint Maarten, followed by a visit to the Savaneta naval barracks in Aruba. On Wednesday he will sail aboard the station ship Zr.Ms. Groningen to speaks to the ship's crew.

On Thursdays and Fridays he visits units operating at Parera naval base and Suffisant naval station.

This morning the Air Force Commander joined Lieutenant General Luyt during this visit. Next week a visit is planned from the Commander of the Armed Forces Lieutenant Admiral Rob Bauer and the Minister of Defense Anke Bijleveld to the Caribbean. This visit was initially planned for June of this year, but due to transport problems, this visit was canceled at the time.
