Ministries have enough capacity to implement austerity measures

WILLEMSTAD - According to the Minister of Finance Kenneth Gijsbertha, the current government has the decisiveness and capacity, but also the required civil service, to implement the necessary austerity measures. Gijsbertha said that during the weekly press conference of the Council of Ministers yesterday.

A report from the committee that reviewed the budgets earlier this year revealed that there is insufficient capacity within the ministries to implement changes fully. The Minister denies that. According to him, the coming austerity process will be fully completed. As was announced, the current government is going to cut more than 120 million guilders on the 2019 budget.
