THE HAGUE - Minister Raymond Knops of the Interior and Kingdom Relations visits the windward islands from January 12 to 16. This is a regular working visit, during which the minister will be on the three islands.
The trip begins with a visit to Aruba. In addition to conversations with the Governor and the Prime Minister, he will be informed about the preservation of monuments and the work of Fundacion pa Hende Muhe den Dificultad (shelter for vulnerable women) and the Instituto Medical San Nicolas (new medical center).
Bonaire is visited on the second day. There, discussions are held with the Executive Council and the Island Council. In addition, the minister will be present at the delivery of the first of a series of five hundred social rental properties.
On Wednesday and Thursday, he will visit Curaçao, which in addition to discussions with the Governor and the Prime Minister, his visit is all about the Judicial Four-Party Consultation (JVO). During these consultations, the Ministers of Justice of the Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao and St Maarten discuss various safety issues for the Dutch islands in the Caribbean.
