THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Antje Diertens of D66 wants to hear from Undersecretary Raymond Knops of Kingdom Relations what possible consequences the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom are going to suffer from the sanctions imposed by the United States on the Venezuelan state oil company PdVSA.

She has proposed to her colleagues at the parliamentary committee for the Kingdom Relations to ask the minister about this, according to www.Koninkrijskrelaties.nu.

Yesterday Minister Stef Blok of Foreign Affairs reported in a debate about the crisis in Venezuela that the governments of Curaçao and Aruba cannot yet estimate the possible effects, for example for the Isla refinery.
