KLM starts selling tickets to the ABC islands and Sint Maarten

SCHIPHOL - The Dutch cannot go on holiday to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom this month. Prime Minister Rutte announced earlier this week that travel to a number of European countries and the Caribbean will be allowed again from June 15, but for the time being no tickets can be reserved with a departure in the next 4 weeks.

The first flight that can be booked via the KLM website is on July 6 to Curaçao. From that date, according to the reservation system, daily flights are flown to Willemstad.

The first flight date to Bonaire and Aruba that can be reserved is July 15. Until August 3, this combination flight will be operated three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, then daily. The start date for Sint Maarten is August 3.

Incidentally, it is up to the local authorities to decide when they want to receive tourists again and under what conditions. The Caribbean Outbreak Management Team chaired by RIVM boss Jaap van Dissel advised the islands to start with limited numbers in order to gain experience and limit contacts between holidaymakers and the local population.
