WILLEMSTAD - The International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, started an audit of aviation in Curaçao yesterday. The results are important to regain category 1 status for the aviation sector of the island.

The audit takes two weeks. Among other things, it looks at legislation and regulations, the functioning of the authorities, the qualification of the personnel and the supervision at the airport and air traffic.
