WILLEMSTAD - The Government of Curaçao took note on 26 July 2019 of advice from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), whereby the Hòspital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO), the new hospital is classified as a collective sector.

The ministers of Finance and Health, Environment and Nature have discussed this advice with the various advisors.

The advisors say to reconsider the possibility of a loan with the Dutch government. The request to the Dutch government will emphasize the conditions and agreements with regard to the earlier loans for the HNO project.

For this reason, the decision of the Council of Minister of 3 June 2019 with regard to the Outline Agreement on HNO is revoked.

The government will ensure that the progress of the HNO project is monitored and that the hospital is delivered as planned this year. Health of the citizen comes first.
