WILLEMSTAD - The Government of Curaçao has requested the Curaçao Refinery (RdK) to clarify the situation regarding the contract between RdK and Klesch.

In this way, the Government wants to get a more concrete picture of the perspectives that are available to achieve a sustainable solution for the petroleum facilities of RdK.

RdK has announced that they are in talks with the Klesch Group to provide the Government with an answer. Conversations like this are not straightforward and there are several complicated legal elements involved that need to be handled with due care. RdK has also announced that they are making every effort to respond to the Government's request in the short term.
