WILLEMSTAD – Starting Tuesday, September 2, fuel prices on Curaçao will see minor adjustments, with gasoline becoming slightly more expensive and diesel dropping in price.
According to the Regulatory Authority of Curaçao (RAC), the price of a liter of gasoline will rise marginally from 2.07 guilders to 2.08 guilders, while diesel will fall from 1.64 guilders to 1.59 guilders per liter.
Electricity Tariffs
Electricity rates will remain virtually unchanged, with adjustments only visible in the third decimal place. Effective September 1, the tiered system remains as follows:
Up to 250 kWh: approximately 55 cents per kWh
Between 250 and 350 kWh: 66 cents per kWh
Above 350 kWh: just over 71 cents per kWh
Water Prices
Water tariffs will also drop slightly as of September 1. Household rates per cubic meter (m³) will be adjusted as follows:
Up to 9 m³ per month: from 8.23 to 8.18 guilders
Between 9 and 12 m³: from 13.38 to 13.33 guilders
Between 12 and 20 m³: from 15.32 to 15.28 guilders
Above 20 m³: from 17.29 to 17.24 guilders
The RAC emphasized that these changes are part of its regular price review process and will take effect at the start of the new month.
