Fuel prices down again

WILLEMSTAD - Fuel prices will drop again on Tuesday. For a liter of gasoline, drivers will pay four cents less at the gas station next month.

At the beginning of September, the government announced that an additional cut in fuel prices was being implemented. Rates fell sharply after hitting record highs in the preceding months.

From September 27, a liter of gasoline costs 2.58 guilders. Drivers pay 2.15 guilders for a liter of diesel. That is seven cents cheaper than the previous rate.

Prices for electricity and water remain virtually the same. As of October 1, consumers pay 78 cents for a KiloWatt. A cubic meter of water will cost 9.68 guilders in the coming month.
