WILLEMSTAD - Another week and then the floating fruit market in Punda will close again. The fruit sellers are leaving on April 24 because their temporary residence permit expires.
These Venezuelans say they need Curaçao because here at least the make good money to take back to their country which is in crisis.
The border also closed last year, when Maduro wanted to prevent the export of gold to Aruba and Curaçao.
This time the closure is a retribution for the help that Curaçao offers to get American relief supplies to Venezuela.
