Curoil paid excise taxes but had cash flow problems in 2018

WILLEMSTAD - Rumors like Curoil would not pay excise taxes are not correct, says the director of the company Yamil Lasten.

By contrast, in 2018 the fuel distributor had to deal with with a shortage of cash flow. Because the refinery no longer supplied products, fuel had to be purchased through the ship Red Majestic. That cost millions.

At the same time, Curoil received less income from one of its major customers, which resulted in the company being in trouble due to a shortage of cash flow. Nonetheless, 2018 was not a bad year for Curoil, according to Lasten.
