Curacao to get a new all-inclusive hotel

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao gets a new all-inclusive hotel. A 300-room hotel is planned at the beginning of Penstraat on the old site of the Pinedo family property.

The so-called Pen Resort must provide work for 400 people. The two monumental buildings that are to the east and west of the empty site will also become part of the Pen Resort. Construction should start in the second quarter of this year.

Last year Pen Resort signed a franchise agreement with Autograph Collection Hotels (AC). This luxury class hotel chain belongs to Marriott International.

The developers, who have been working with Pen for years, speak of "new perspectives" for the project: "This agreement facilitates the process of completing the financing of the construction of the new hotel as a link between the Pietermaai district and Penstraat."
