Curaçao Chamber opens business mission from Panama

President Billy Jonckheer gives the opening speech indicating the importance of extending the commercial ties with Panama

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Mr. Billy Jonckheer together with the National Director for Export Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Panama, Mr. Eric Dormoi, did the official opening of the business mission between Panama and Curaçao.

The delegation that accompanies the ministry of commerce & industry of Panama , consists out of more than 15 companies offering a diversity of food & beverage, packaging, cleaning materials and freezers.  During March 16 and 17, these companies from Panama will be able to meet individually with Curaçao companies interested in importing their products directly from Panama.

Both Curaçao and Panama emphasized in their opening speeches about the importance of expanding the trade relations, especially in these challenging times in logistics, inflation and the increase in the cost of living- and doing business.

The trade relations between Curaçao and Panama have been increasing for the last 3 years both in export as in import.  There is opportunity to increase these ties even more, for the benefit of both countries. Organizing events such as these trade missions, brings together the offer and the demand, contributing to realizing these prospects.
