Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten Set Regional Priorities with the Netherlands

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao, Aruba, and Sint Maarten, together with the Netherlands, have agreed on joint priorities for regional cooperation in the areas of food security, trade, and the maritime sector. The initiative stems from the recent conference "Taking the Reins: Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Driving Their Economic Future", which also included a focus on the special municipalities of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba.

The cooperation aims to strengthen small-scale agriculture, reduce trade barriers, and promote the use of sustainable maritime technologies. These efforts are seen as key to improving economic resilience and sustainability across the islands.

Dutch State Secretary for Kingdom Relations Zsolt Szabó (PVV) stated that the initiative aligns with broader reform programs and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting economic development in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
