WILLEMSTAD - The government of Curaçao informs that two more cases have been added today to the COVID-19 total. Now Curaçao stands at 36 cases total.
One of the two that has been added today is a crew member of one of the ships in the harbor. The person is from the Philippines. This person was already in quarantine and posed no threat to the local community.
The other person is the travel companion of case number 34 who returned at the beginning of August. This person was already in voluntary quarantine when the virus was detected. Thus, according to the Ministry of Public Health, this person does not pose a threat to other people.
All four active cases are in quarantine and under surveillance.
