COVID-19 Update: Over 2600 travelers from the Netherlands and no infections

WILLEMSTAD - Since the borders were opened on 1 July for the Netherlands, more than 2600 people have traveled to Curacao. This is evident from figures from KLM and TUI.

Epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth says there are no new confirmed infections. A total of 25 people tested positive in Curaçao since the first case was detected. Of those 25, as is already known, one person died: the man who was found to be the first to be infected in March. The rest has now been considered safe. That means that there are currently no active infections on the island.
