WILLEMSTAD - The government announced last night that Curaçao has 4 more local coronavirus cases. 3 of the cases are people living with the couple from cluster # 2, one of which is a child attending school (who was immediately isolated at home). The Epidemiology Department is in contact with the Catholic school board to advise them on how to deal with the necessary testing around this case.

The 4th case is a local case and it is a case that has no relation to cluster # 1 nor # 2.

The government also announced that Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth will give more information during an extraordinary press conference on Monday, August 24 at 11:30am.

The Government asks everyone to please take care of themselves and their families by adhering to the necessary hygiene and distance rules. Avoid large crowds and events both indoors and outdoors

Of the total of 43 cases, 8 are now active and not 9 because one person has recovered, 34 people have now recovered.
