WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao now also has a drive-thru where people can get tested for COVID-19. That was announced yesterday by Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth during the press conference. The first persons have already been tested. Until now it is only accessible to people who have an appointment through their GP or the Epidemiological Service. No test is done without an appointment.
Bonaire and Aruba have had drive-thru tests for COVID-19 for some time. For a long time, Curaçao maintained the policy that people who had to be tested should not take to the streets. However, due to the increase in the number of local infections, much more testing is required and a drive-thru has become necessary.
