COVID-19 Update: Another MCB employee tested positive for corona

WILLEMSTAD - The Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (MCB) informs that they were alerted on Tuesday, August 25 that one of their colleagues employed at the Punda branch tested positive for the coronavirus. The colleague does not have direct contact with clients and the last day this person was at work was on Monday, August 24. This case does not have any link to the colleague at Rio Canario.

MCB management made the decision to close the branch and the entire building today Wednesday, August 26 to initiate the cleaning and disinfecting process.

MCB announces that the Punda branch will be open again on Thursday August 27 for its clients. All the colleagues who work in the same area/department as the infected person are in mandatory quarantine.

MCB says that it will continue to adhere to the requirements set by the health officials and asks everyone to follow the safety and social distancing instructions.
