COVID-19 Update: “51 new cases reported on November 11, 2020”

WILLEMSTAD - The government of Curaçao reports that there are 51 new COVID-19 cases on the island. This is the result after 261 people were tested. 1 of these cases is imported, 19 are linked to known ones. There are 5 active cases in the age group of 65 and older. 3 cases that were hospitalized were discharged yesterday and 2 today.

28 active cases have recovered which brings the total active cases to 315.

Currently there are 7 people in the CMC hospital with COVID-19 symptoms. 1 of them is still in intensive care.

The government says that there are no reasons to panic. The epidemiology department is investigating the sources and also checking if there is a possible event that took place where the virus spread. Tomorrow during an extraordinary press conference, the government will give more details.
