COVID-19 Update: “15 new cases reported on October 23, 2020”

WILLEMSTAD - The government of Curaçao reported that there are 15 new COVID-19 cases on the island. This is the result after 164 people were tested. 8 of these new cases are linked to known ones and the other 7 are still being investigated by the epidemiology team through contact tracing.

During a more extensive investigation, the epidemiology team noted that one of the positive cases that was reported, was actually a negative case. This is the reason why the total number of active cases and recovered cases has been adjusted.

26 active cases have recovered which brings the total active cases to 283.

Currently there are 5 in the CMC hospital.

If there are any questions or doubts about the COVID-19 on the island, the epidemiology team can be reached at 9345 during office hours.
