Cooper: Schotte is being humiliated by prison management

WILLEMSTAD – Member of Parliament for the MFK party Charles Cooper believes that the prison warden is trying to humiliate his political leader Gerrit Schotte. His rights as a prisoner are not respected either.

Schotte has been serving a prison sentence since last year. On January 18, a lawsuit will take place in which Schotte tries to get the court to hear an Italian lawyer who wants to testify about his contact with the Curaçao Public Prosecutor. Schotte will then not be allowed to go to court in regular clothes but is obliged to wear his prison clothes.

Cooper expresses his rage about this because, according to him, there is a possibility to allow Schotte to wear normal clothing, there is no risk of a flight.

The party MFK calls on Schotte’s followers to come to Wilhelmina Plaza on Friday January 18 to support their leader.
