Complaint filed against four ministers

WILLEMSTAD - The opposition party Korsou di Nos Tur is going to file a report against four ministers of the Rhuggenaath cabinet. They have placed their signature under the HNO Outline Agreement (the new hospital in Otrabanda).

The governor has established that they were not authorized to do so. The complaint is against the Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, Kenneth Gijsbertha of Finance, Suzanne Camelia-Römer of Public Health and Zita Jezus-Leito of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning.

The government intended to give away 136 million guilders to HNO Vastgoed & Beheer. That was partly the reason for the governor not to sign for the national decree.

The loan of 200 million guilders would also be arranged to complete the hospital.

Whether there is intent is not clear. But it is striking. Ministers' action could have had major consequences for the 2019 budget, which is already under pressure.
