MIAMI, WILLEMSTAD - Rain and thunderstorms have increased in conjunction with Tropical Wave 94L, which lies approximately 1,500 kilometers east of the southern Caribbean islands.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami sees conditions favorable for the development of a tropical depression. Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire must take into account severe weather from Wednesday to Friday.
A Hurricane Hunter Aircraft was scheduled to survey the system this afternoon. The southern islands on the eastern side of the Caribbean Sea and residents along the northeast coast of Venezuela are advised to monitor the progress of the weather system. Possible tropical storm warnings will follow.
Regardless of the development of System 94L, the islands in this area and the northeast coast of Venezuela must expect heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening and Wednesday.
Second weather system
A tropical wave several hundred miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands is causing disorganized rainfall and thunderstorms. Ambient conditions may become conducive to the gradual development of a second tropical depression later this week. The system is moving west-northwestwards at approximately 15 kilometers per hour over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean. The probability of formation in five days is twenty percent.
