Zr.Ms. Holland intercepts 5,000 kilos of drugs

WILLEMSTAD - Navy ship Zr.Ms. Holland has intercepted 5,000 kilos of drugs in the Caribbean Sea. This is reported by the Dutch Ministry of Defense in the Caribbean.

A Caribbean Coast Guard patrol plane discovered packages at sea containing the suspected drugs. The Navy ship sent its fast interceptor and US Coast Guard helicopter to the area to search for the packages.

The contrabands have been handed over to the US Coast Guard and have since been destroyed.

Zr.Ms. Holland has been active as a station ship in the Caribbean since October 2022. In three previous drug seizures, the naval ship intercepted more than 1,600 kilos of drugs.
