WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Service Curaçao issued a yellow weather warning on Wednesday due to extremely high temperatures on the island.
According to the Meteo, this involves maximum temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius. The weather service states that the wind has decreased, and in the coming days, there will also be little wind, making it feel even warmer. Additionally, warm air moving from the south toward the island is contributing to the higher temperatures.
The Meteorological Service warns of heatstroke and complaints such as cramps and fatigue due to the heat. Moreover, it is advised to avoid excessive physical exertion and to stay well-hydrated.
