WILLEMSTAD - The Public Works Service (OW) has announced that work has begun to repair the monument at the location of the Queen Juliana Bridge collapse.
Every year, on November 6th, Curaçao commemorates the tragic incident, which was the collapse of the bridge while workers were on it. Considering the current condition of the monument, OW has devised a plan to repair it. The work to be performed includes:
Installing benches
Planting trees
Placing benches
Installing sushi benches
Creating a more suitable space for setting up tents and sound equipment.
These activities will last for 4 weeks and are under the responsibility of the contractor Ilusion General Contractors. They will not have any impact on traffic.
