WILLEMSTAD – Vespucci College has raised 7,000 guilders during a Christmas fundraiser for ‘Un Smail Pa Korsou’, the school announced in a press release. ‘Un Smail Pa Korsou’ is a project in which various dentists visit local neighborhoods to provide free dental treatments.
Just before Christmas 2024, Vespucci College hosted its annual “Kerstival” (Christmas Festival). The event featured student performances, the sale of handmade Christmas items, and a large charity run benefiting three selected good causes. This week, the school presented a 7,000-guilder donation to one of those causes, ‘Un Smail Pa Korsou’.
The project, which translates to "A Smile for Curaçao", focuses on raising awareness, conducting dental check-ups, and distributing oral care kits to children who lack access to proper dental care. According to the foundation, education about oral health plays a crucial role in promoting awareness. The initiative relies entirely on sponsors and volunteers to continue its mission.
