WILLEMSTAD - The process for inventorying, establishing and valuing the real estate properties of the Country Curaçao was stopped at the end of 2010, resumed in 2015 and not yet finalized.
These were expected to be completed by the Ministry of Finance in 2017, but that has not yet happened.
It is one of the reasons why there are almost 3.5 billion guilders allocated under uncertainties in the 2015 financial statements.
The Court of Audit (ARC) rejected the annual accounts and listed various reasons that the Country already mentioned in 2014 as a reason for the uncertainties. Likewise, the definitive allocation of the participations in the context of the division of property as a result of the dismantling of the former country of the Netherlands Antilles is still not completed.
