Update: Disruption probably as a tropical storm over Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - The disturbance approaching Curaçao will probably pass over the island as a tropical storm. This is reported by the Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo) in the latest update.  

 

The potential storm is now moving at about 40 miles per hour and will reach the ABC Islands this afternoon, likely as Storm Bonnie. The disturbance is currently located approximately 200 kilometers southeast of Curaçao.  

 

At the moment, the Meteo has issued a weather warning for a tropical storm. The wind is expected to pick up considerably around 12 noon. The heaviest showers are expected around 6 pm and are likely to last until midnight.
