WILLEMSTAD - The University of Curaçao (UoC) and Fontys University of Applied Sciences have announced plans to further strengthen their collaboration in the coming years. This partnership centers on shared values such as cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
The initiative aligns closely with the Mehorashon di Enseñansa program, which focuses on improving education in Curaçao with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and innovation. UoC plays a key role in this program through research, training, and expertise.
Fontys University of Applied Sciences, a strong advocate for diversity in education, has been a driving force behind the partnership. Previously, the institution organized a professional development week for secondary school teachers in Curaçao, featuring instructors from Fontys.
Currently, the two institutions are collaborating on the development of a citizenship module tailored to the local context and needs. Future activities will focus on enhancing teaching skills and pedagogical methods, ensuring a lasting impact on educational practices in Curaçao.
